Green Tea (Matcha) Chocolate Chip Cookies

Now, I don't have a recipe for these cookies - just a few tantalizing photos xD

We just used a basic chocolate chip cookie recipe and added matcha (green tea) powder to taste. So pick your favorite cookie recipe, mix the batter, and then add matcha powder (before adding chocolate chips) by the tablespoon until you've achieved your desired level of tea flavor.

Notes:
- Matcha powder (aka green tea powder) is just what it sounds like: powdered tea. It's pretty expensive (relative to most baking ingredients), but a little goes a long way in most applications and the flavor is quite unique. It can be hard to find, but it might help to check specialty food stores or even look for it online.
- In my experience, the taste of green tea was reduced post-baking. That is, the batter had more green tea taste than the final cookies did. Next time, I'd add a little extra powder to the batter just to make sure the flavor is apparent.
- The chocolate chips have a tendency to overpower the mild green tea flavor, so be wary of how much you add, and mix them in evenly!
- The powder gives the cookie a faint green color, but if you'd like a stronger shade of green, feel free to add food coloring.

Yummy.
