Mint Chocolate Chunk Snowmen Brownie Bites
Just a quick photo post to share these adorable snowmen brownie bites! I usually make Christmas tree-themed desserts around the holidays, so I wanted to try something different. These came out super cute!
For the brownies, I made this easy recipe (adding an extra cup of peppermint white chocolate chunks to give the batter a holiday twist!) I let them cool completely, then cut circles out of the pan.
To decorate, I dipped each round in melted white chocolate, let the first coat cool, and then dipped them again. (This helps the white chocolate form an opaque enough coating to cover up the dark color of the brownie beneath.) Once the white layers were completely dried, I used a bit of semisweet chocolate melted in a Ziploc bag with one corner just barely snipped to dot on the eyes and mouth!
I would have used colored white chocolate to pipe on the noses, but I realized I didn't have the right food coloring to do the job. Instead, I found an orange Starburst candy in the pantry and decided to run with it! I shaped each nose out of a tiny bit of the Starburst, then adhered them to the snowmen faces with just a tiny dab of melted white chocolate.
Some of these faces came out a little haphazard, but overall I think they're quite charming :) Definitely a cute idea for fancying up brownies for the winter holidays!
